An adventure of a lifetime
Hi, my name is Mike and this is an update to my original advert to find a crew to sail round the world. To all you back packers; just do that and enjoy that adventure as it’s not conducive with open ocean sailing. To all those that just want a two week adventure sailing; I suggest you by a package tour, say in the Mediterranean as open ocean sailing can take a month or more of your time and doesn’t fit with a schedule.
So where am I now; well I sailed the Atlantic and nursed a back packer whist she was seasick for 22 days, then sailed the Caribbean Sea and again nursed a seasick person; not a crew! Then I was joined by a young lady who just wanted to be on holiday; open ocean sailing is not a holiday; it’s an ambition of a passion to achieve; so that young lady was asked to leave before I set off to sail the Pacific. I visited Marquises, Tahiti, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, Australia (Darwin), Cocos Keeling and now on route to Mauritius. I am on my own but don’t feel lonely. I am at one with the sea and enjoy every moment, even the rough days, which they have been far too many. So all you crew seekers; think what you really want to do in your life; is jumping on a boat just part of your adventure; if it is; do something else. I don’t believe I have received a message from a single person who really had the passion to sail the open ocean and experience the true power of the sea. My Best Wishes to you all and just maybe; just maybe I will receive a truly inspiring request to sail with me.
