Looking for a good hand to finish a preparation and then sail around Europe

The association running this special classic racer is looking for some help to finish the preparation of the yacht in Saint Malo, French Britanny, ( about a month of work ), test her new rig, new engine and electronics during some sea trials, and then sail her around the West of Europe into the Med ( which could take anything between 3 weeks and a month and a half ).
We are looking for someone who would want to learn both about the technical part of a sailboat, and then about the sailing/ cruising part of it.
You should have quite some months of free time ahead, as we are not set yet for a departure date.
It's a good opportunity to learn both sailing and maintenance, and to be on a very particular boat with a wonderful racing history.
So ideally, a good mind, handy person, with no seasickness issues would fit easily.
Onboard, basic food and a berth are provided, plus some extras ( to be discussed ).

  • Boat descriptionKriter 5 is a strip planking racing boat from the late 70's, built for the first "Route du Rhum" on which she finished second place for ... 98 seconds. Quite a name in the racing world, she has seen many famous sailors, and is still used for the occasional race in 'vintage' mode. She is owned by an association and our goal is to keep her sailing and participating to events. She has undergone a complete refit ( we are almost there ) with new mast, sails, engine, electricity and electronics, provided by various sponsors. The comfort on board is relative - she's a racing boat, but there are functional toilets, shower, a decent kitchen, and five births. The performances are excellent for a boat of this age, especially upwind, as the hull shape is very particular.
