Passage from New Zealand to Vanuatu in May, One Spot Open
Hello!
I'll be leaving Opua, New Zealand for Port Vila, Vanuatu on May 7. It should be a ~10 day crossing, but its a good idea to budget for 2 weeks minimum.
I've got two (very friendly) people coming from the US to sail with me, but it would be great to get one more healthy crew.
Sailing experience would be great but not required, although you need to be sure you don't get seasick.
I'd prefer people already in New Zealand. Quasar is currently in Tauranga.
I'll arrive in NZ on April 17, then relocate her from Tauranga to Opua before leaving (probably the first week of May).
A reasonable contribution for food would be appreciated - we can work out the details if you're interested. In the past I've handled this as a flat contribution to the big grocery trip prior to leaving, as opposed to a daily rate.
Once we arrive in Vanuatu, my crew will be leaving to go back to the US and I'll stay on board for another 2 weeks before laying her up. No problem if you want to stay on board for a week or so, but you'd need to make arrangements either to leave Vanuatu or find lodging before I leave for the US.
