This is a recreational position with the possibility to receive a salary. We need someone to help the Captain on our 73ft, monohull. Located in San Blas Islands, Panama during the summer months.

During this period you will have room and board only.
We are a charter boat and when we have guests onboard your tasks will be helping the Captain to sail and anchor the boat. We navigate usually, 1-2h a day. Cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for the guests. We don't want or need any fancy, high-end creations. Just simple and tasty meals. Mainly fish and seafood, but also options for vegetarian/vegan and restriction diets. Bake bread and make simple desserts. You will have a hand-over when arriving and shown our recipes, how to operate the galley and also how to provision and meal plan in a remote location. We need you to be a team-player and it is important that you stay cool under pressure. Between charters you help the Captain with turnover which also involves laundry and cleaning the interior.
During charter you will be paid and share tip with Captain.
We already have reservations!!!
We are looking for someone that want to experience life on a sailboat. Learn how to sail or get more experience.
The boat is in a very remote location and most time will be spent onboard or around the boat in solitude. The San Blas Islands are almost untouched by modern society. There are no supermarkets, pharmacies or other shops only natural sandy islands with coconut trees. The locals (Kunas) lives the same way they've done for centuries in small huts on the beach. Living off of fishing and selling arts and crafts. Some run small hotels or restaurants on the islands.
It is important that you are someone who enjoys the quiet, simple life. Someone how is calm and have good positive vibes. This is a chance to reconnect with the simplicity of life and embrace the beauty of nature.
If you don't have culinary training, don't worry, we are looking for someone that is passionate about cooking and is well organised in the galley.
You also need to be ready to lend a hand where and when it is needed. Work good in a team and willing to give our guest the best experience during their stay.
You are a non-smoker, physically in good shape and a good swimmer.
