2 week Antigua and Barbuda cruise
Departing Jolly Harbour Marina, Antigua on a Lagoon 40 sailing cat. 3 double cabins are available. Boat has air-con, gen set and a water maker.
Boarding 17:00 6/12/25. Disembark 09:00 20/12/25.
For reference the boat pictured is my Excess 11 “Kalbarri” which is in charter service in Sardinia. The deal I have allows me to use a sister boat at another sailing base, which in this case is a Lagoon 40 in Antigua.
This will be my 2nd cruise in the Caribbean this year having spent 2 weeks in Grenada and SVG in May/June. Depending upon the conditions I plan a leisurely anticlockwise lap of Antigua taking in all the sights along the way. Once we have hit the north of the island jump across to Barbuda and explore the white sandy anchorages on the west coast. Then back to Antigua to explore the west coast, finally returning Jolly harbour.
Expect enjoyable gentle sailing with sunsets at anchor, day trips and dining ashore, plus lots of reef snorkelling. No hard core sailing is anticipated and if the weather picks up we will retire to a safe haven. Party time is encouraged but you need to be back up on deck contributing the next day!
Competent Crew is not a prerequisite. Strictly non-smoking non-vaping, enthusiastic sailors with a positive easy and fun attitude are most welcome. You will be expected to participate in sailing, cleaning and galley duties.
No charter fee to be paid. Just share of provisioning costs, mooring fees and fuel. Meals/drinks ashore at your own expense.
Will conduct a Zoom interview with potential crew. References would be great please.
Eur 300/ $US 345 or $931 ECD deposit to be paid up front.
