Deckhand - Temporary / Seasonal - $0.00 - Brazil

Currently in Fortaleza Brazil. Sailing on to Trinidad and then the Windwards and Leewards.
Prefer experience with a wooden ship/full keel sailing vessel but, as there are not a lot of those out there...just verified sailing experience in sailboats 20m and above.

Great attitude, great cook, willing to learn, all good attributes but not a persuasive argument. This is not a training boat, this is a sailing ship! It requires advanced sailing abilities and understanding. It is ketch rigged, all manual and requires experience. And although very, very spacious and comfortable, she is still a Sailing Ship. Do not expect gourmet meals or hot showers everyday..
1st leg of trip is to Trinidad with potential stops to cruise some of the Amazon river and explore Suriname.Opportunity to stay onboard as we sail up the coast to the Windwards. With potential for paid position.

For now, $15/day for food kitty required. Non restricted diets only. Smoking boat except in cabin areas.
Watermaker, full electric galley, electric heads, own shower, generator and inverter, Starlink for weather updates (limited personal communication), interior cockpit, all manual except anchor winch and steering (hydraulic). Can run up to 5 sails.

Expected duties, watch keeping, shared cleanup inside and out, sail plan changes (hoisting, trimming, stowing sails).
