Cutty is my liveaboard vessel. She is the beauty, but build solid as a battleship ready to take on the oceans! In 2024, I finished a major refit of her, but the work to make her better and stronger to take on elements never stops.
Last season we spend amazing time sailing from Charleston, SC through Caribbean. We spent entire season enjoying many amazing days, meeting wonderful people along the way. We also had to deal with complex passages in "the prickly route to the south" and other challenges.
Living on the boat is not just the beautiful sunsets and the beaches. Amazing places we visit and people we meet is one of the the reason to do it, but challenges we face really completes the experience. Every passage is never the same. Elements, weather and the ocean never waits for you. Every passage we face a challenge and learn something. Most major passages adds things to fix on the to-do list. Most plans don't work out exactly the way you thought. All of it creates an exhilarating experience. All of it is part of cruising
I am looking for a sailor for the long term cruise from Trinidad through Caribbean, ready to help me with passages, cleaning, cooking and enjoying the places we go to. I work remotely on my job in high tech and often need to spend a lot of time either on my first or my "second" job of keeping the boat ready for the next challenge. There a lot of work some days to keep the boat running smoothly. I am looking for someone ready to help in those moments. I am looking for someone capable of finding joy in both hard and easy days. Cruising life takes us to all kind of places. Some are absolutely magical beaches with warm crystal clear water and turtles swimming around the boat, while others are semi-industrial port where we need to get that important part or address some other business. Sometimes that next amazing destination is just not accessible because wind is blowing hard in the "wrong" direction. I am looking for someone capable of coping with unexpected and finding beauty even in places where it is not obvious or at times that are difficult
