Crossing from Portugal to Canary Islands 19/november
Hi! We are Elys and Tutu, a couple living our dream of traveling aboard our 9m catamaran, Pitanga.
We are waiting the next 7days window to cross to the Canary Islands as soon as possible, and we think it will happen in 19/november.
We are looking for someone with experience to cross with us! You need to helping with sailing, day/night watches, general boat care (cleaning, light maintenance), cooking if you can and sharing costs. And of course, to share the beauty and fun of life at sea too!
Open to men or women of any age, with some sailing experience. ** you need be able to handle the sailing on bluewaters and handle good your seasickness.
Costs: We ask a contribuition of 30euros/day to cover all the basic expenses such as food, water, gas, diesel, and occasional mooring/marina fees. Alcohol, snacks, and personal expenses ashore are each person’s responsibility.
Our experience: Last year, before we got Pitanga, we have sailed crewing around Brazil, in Panama and did the pacific crossing to French Polynesia. Our sailing journey with Pitanga began in England in January 2025. Since then, we’ve sailed along the French islands, crossed the Bay of Biscay by ourselves, and explored the Basque Country, Spain, and Portugal.
We speak portuguese, english, french and spanish.
