Key responsibilities:
* Navigation and safety: Safely operate the yacht, plan voyages, and monitor weather conditions. Ensure the safety of all passengers and crew, and manage emergency situations.
* Crew management: Hire, train, lead, and supervise all crew members. This includes managing schedules, maintaining discipline, and ensuring staff are performing their duties effectively.
* Operations and maintenance: Oversee all aspects of the yacht's operations, including routine maintenance, repairs, and refit projects. Ensure all equipment is in good working order and comply with waste disposal and fuel regulations.
* Financial and administrative: Manage the yacht's budget, including purchasing supplies and managing costs like fuel and dockage fees. Maintain detailed logs and records.
* Guest and owner relations: Act as the main point of contact for owners and guests. Plan and execute itineraries to meet their expectations and provide a high level of hospitality and service.
* Legal and compliance: Ensure the yacht and its operations comply with all international, flag, and port state regulations. This includes preparing for annual surveys and other required inspections.
