1st Mate - Permanent - Portugal
Mate with a yachtmaster and aspirations to become junior skipper, for an informal but adventurous program.
The boat is a 27m sloop currently completing an in-depth re-fit ready to start an extended worldwide cruise early in 2026. The desire to live onboard, be adventurous, and ability to be part of a mixed professional and amateur crew teaching and supervising is paramount. A good fit for someone with sail training experience, or couple looking to step up from small boats keen for bigger boat drive time and experience.
The skipper happy to help crew step up. He will be off the boat for periods (young family) so the right candidates need to be self motivated, get stuck in in all areas. Be competent and keen to take on daily management in these times. Experience with mechanics, engineering, cooking, languages, fishing, diving all greatly desired. Preference for candidates with proven longevity in a role.
