SOS Humanity is a humanitarian NGO, that has been been doing Search and Rescue Operations in the Mediterranean since 2015.
For our new sailing ship Humanity 2, we are seeking an experienced mechanic (f/d/m) who will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all repairs and maintenance of the ship's main propulsion engine (MAN D2542, 233 kW) and associated auxiliary generator sets (MAN D0226, Mase Mariner 2000TS) and electrical systems during the shipyard phase and later during rescue operations.
The SV Humanity 2 is a 24-meter steel yacht ketch and is currently undergoing extensive shipyard work and refitting in Sicily so that it will be fully operational in the summer of 2026.
