Dominican republic to Cuba
Last minute opportunity due to cancellation.
⚠️ Last-Minute Crew Spot – Dominican Republic → Cuba (Departure Soon)
SY Seafinn – Formosa 56 Ketch
We’ve had a last-minute cancellation and now have one bunk available immediately for the upcoming passage from the Dominican Republic to Cuba. Departure is very soon, so this suits someone who is already in the Caribbean or able to travel quickly.
This leg is part of a longer expedition sailing from the Caribbean toward the North Atlantic and Arctic.
? The Passage
Departure: Dominican Republic (Samaná area)
Destination: Cuba (south coast)
A mix of offshore sailing and coastal exploration
Great opportunity to experience authentic Cuba and sail less-traveled waters
Some of the current crew are a bit apprehensive about the fuel shortages in Cuba, which is understandable given the situation in the country. In practice we operate largely as a sailing vessel, carry reserves, and plan conservatively — but we are looking for someone comfortable with a slightly more expedition-style mindset.

Life changing experience
Rebekka and Fred were amazing captains, willing to teach you all there is to know about sailing and allow you to help and learn. I arrived in Dublin and from the first minute felt welcome and was surrounded by the most incredible crew, which made the journey even better. The people I met, places I saw and the experience of being totally away from my usual London (rat race!) life taught me to slow down a bit and take stock of what is truly important in life. Without this journey, I wouldn't be in the great place I am now, thank you both so much! Anyone who gets the chance to sail with these two should snap it up and enjoy what they have to offer. Much love <3
