Deckhand - Temporary / Seasonal - Min exp 3 years - €TBD - Italy
Hello, I am looking for an experienced deckhand to help position a new boat from Italy to Barcelona. I just bought the boat, a 19-meter Prestige 630 with two Volvo IPS motors, and I am unfamiliar with some of the systems. I'm looking for someone with experience in newer boats between 20-25m, and ideally you would have some engineering expertise and be handy if we discover problems with the boat.
I'm the captain/owner and the trip is also going to be a holiday for me, so it will be a slow-paced relaxed journey which may last between 10 days to 3 weeks, sometimes stopping in marinas for a few days.
The job would be to cover my back for the first week at least, and possibly longer all the way to Barcelona, as I learn the boat and gain confidence operating it. Primary responsibilities would be helping with docking and cleaning and organizing and stocking the boat.
The start date is not firm yet, but expected to be early next week. There is some flexibility to discuss it. I look forward to hearing from you! I expect it to be a fun journey. I speak English and Spanish, so either is ok. Italian or French is a bonus as we pass through those countries.
