Mediterranean crew required
I am looking for crew for next season, or part of it.
Cruising the Mediterranean all summer - Malta, Italy, Greece and maybe the Balearics.
I start the season each year in Tunisia and I winter in Tunisia.
Seeking either a couple (mf) or 2 singles, or a solo crew. No experience required.
You can stay for a long time or a short time, minimum one week.
Crew are expected to share in the cooking, shopping and day to day cleaning, share watches etc.
I am 69. I had a minor stroke last January. I have lost strength in one arm and a walk with a bit of a limp but sailing itself is not an issue. However I am not able to single hand any longer. I need help lifting anything heavy but apart from that I am pretty fit.
I ask for a small contribution towards general costs, IRO £25 per person per day. In addition we share the on board food costs, fuel and marina costs equally between us all. As I tend to anchor nearly all the time, marina costs are kept to a minimum. Any food purchased ashore, together with drinks ashore are paid for by each person.
The yacht is a Moody 376. It is a centre cockpit design and the crew cabin is in the bow with its own basin, wc and shower.
All safety equipment is provided - lifejackets, safety lines, fire extinguishers, life raft etc.
The yacht has AIS, radar, vhf, rib and outboard engine.
There is a ships cat! She is clean and friendly and would sleep in my cabin.
If you wish to cruise and sunbathe with the minimum of actually sailing the boat yourself, that’s fine. If you want tuition that can be provided too. If you prefer to do all the sailing that is equally acceptable - I will sit and watch!
