New Zealand to Vanautu

We’re a couple on a 2006 Tayana 48 looking for crew to join us on the passage to New Caledonia / Vanuatu (whichever country opens first), when borders re-open (we’re “hopeful” this will be in/around August-September 2020).

ABOUT US:
The yacht is a US Flagged Vessel (home port: Sausalito, CA). We departed San Francisco in 2018 and arrived into NZ in Nov. 2019. Since our journey started, we’ve logged 11,000 NM. She’s a beautiful blue water boat — 48ft 2006, center-cockpit, cutter-rigged, and fully kitted out for comfortable ocean passages. We’re a fun married couple with an intimate knowledge of our boat who take a cautious approach and sail for comfort and safety.

ABOUT YOU:
We’re looking for a crew member for this passage who is responsible, easy-going and a team player. Previous ocean-crossing experience is a plus, but not necessary. We would plan to divide shifts equally among the 3 of us. We are open to having a couple onboard. You would have a private cabin and head (with a shower). This is an unpaid position. We’ll cover food and boat expenses. You’ll be responsible for your onward travel from when we arrive into port.

GET IN TOUCH:
If you think you’d be a good fit, we’d love to hear from you!
