Experienced first mate is looking for a challenging opportunities!
Hi! My name is Ivan Kildyushov, and I’d love to join you as a crew member.
I’m 35 years old, Russian by origin with Swedish citizenship, and work full-time as an IT engineer. I’m flexible and available for trips of up to two months. I started sailing five years ago, and it has become an important part of my life.
For the past three years, I’ve owned a small yacht (27-foot Swedish yacht from 1968). While she’s too old and lightly equipped for offshore sailing, this has given me solid experience in single-handed sailing, engine maintenance, onboard electrics, and general boat handling. I also have experience as first mate on Mediterranean cruises, as well as my most significant passage so far: sailing a gaff-rigged schooner from Kiel, northern Germany, to Tenerife.
In 2025, I crossed the Atlantic from the Canary Islands to Martinique as first mate on a Beneteau 42.
I currently hold a Swedish coastal sailing license for vessels under 12 meters and an SRC certificate. I plan to obtain an ICC 24 m Coastal Yachtmaster license in summer 2024. I’m comfortable with sail handling, night watches, engine checks, and galley duties.
I’m communicative, responsible, and a non-smoker.
