Looking for a Novice Crew, Racing crew position
I am seeking opportunities to join a recreational sailing crew or to work as a paid crew member aboard a sailboat during May, June, and July 2025. I have over 500 nautical miles of sailing experience in the Mediterranean and Baltic Seas. I have sailed under varied conditions, including in inclement weather. I have acted as skipper on a 10-meter sailboat. I know what is required when sailing on longer passages and am capable of keeping night watches and carrying out any other tasks necessary to guarantee the safety of the vessel and crew. I am also trained in man-overboard maneuvers. I am proficient in coastal navigation with buoys and other landmarks. I am also proficient in passage plotting and in GPS navigation, and I have experience docking and anchoring sailing vessels up to 12 meters. Furthermore, aside from a strong spoken and written command of English, I am fluent in Spanish and Italian, as I have lived in both countries, and I can express myself in French. I am a Spanish citizen. Although I hold no formal sailing qualifications, I am eager to become a proficient sailor. I intend to pursue the RYA costal skipper certification in the near future and would greatly value the chance to learn from experienced sailors. I am in a good physical condition, happy to do the heavier jobs, and will gladly endure any hardships the voyage may require. I am easygoing and do not stress. I hope to be a serious, disciplined, reliable, and friendly member of any sailing crew.
