Victoria-based coxswain and tall ship sailor looking to get into deliveries
Hi, I'm Declan, and I'm an experienced tall ship sailor and commercial coxswain/deckhand who decided somewhere along the line to pursue a career in maritime.
So far, that career has seen me teaching a bunch of high schoolers how to sail a brig, giving historical commentaries on river cruises, facilitating the ogling of scantily-clad women at buck's parties, and loading up paddlesteamers with logs for the boiler. I'm always keen to add to this list of experiences, and one of the many things I haven't yet tried is delivering yachts, but I'd love to change that.
I freely admit that I don't know much about yachts, but I do have plenty of sailing experience, as well as experience both as a commercial coxswain, and as a volunteer in the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard.
