Looking for a Novice Crew position
Hello! My name is Diego, 35yo, and I’m an adventurous soul with a passion for exploring the world and connecting with people from all walks of life. I’m a backpacker at heart, having traveled extensively across South America volunteering, including an unforgettable journey through Argentina, Chile and Uruguay where I hitchhiked, camped under the stars, and relied on the kindness of strangers. These experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and landscapes.
While I’m new to sailing, I’m eager to learn and contribute. I’m physically fit, wake up early (6 a.m. is my usual start!), and enjoy hands-on tasks, whether it's helping maintain a ship, assisting with navigation, or simply being part of a hardworking crew. I’ve always been fascinated by the sea and the sense of freedom it offers, and I’m ready to dedicate my time and energy to mastering the skills needed for life on the water.
Beyond traveling, I enjoy gardening, which I’ve done while volunteering, and have a knack for creating a welcoming environment. I also love animals, nature, and discovering new ways to live sustainably. I’m enthusiastic, adaptable, and thrive in team settings where everyone plays a role in achieving shared goals.
