Novice Crew - Hoping to join Southeast Asia from Australia
Hi all,
My name is Paul, I am 24 years old from France. I'll finish my studies in Australia in early June and I'm now looking for a way to get to Southeast Asia by boat as part of a bigger goal: to get back to France with as few flights as possible.
My passion is for meaningful travel and hands-on experiences - big cruise ships and planes are not my thing. Instead, I hope to volunteer to join a sailing crew, ready to help, learn, and contribute in any way I can.
Although I have no sailing experience, I am highly motivated, adaptable and eager to contribute in all aspects of life on board: cooking, cleaning, keeping watch, learning to sail - whatever it may be. I'm hands-on, I like to work in a team and I'm used to a simple life (bivouacs, backpacking). I'm also happy to contribute to common expenses.
I am fluent in French, English and have conversational Spanish. I always enjoy interacting with people from different cultures and backgrounds. I am aware that bringing someone on board is a big commitment and I will do my best to respectfully fit in while doing my part.
If you think you'd be a good fit, I'd love to hear from you and learn more about your plans. I am flexible with my schedule from the beginning of June and can travel to meet you at a convenient port.
