Looking for a 3rd Engineer position
I'm interested in finding a position as a 3rd or 4th Engineer. I am a motivated and professional marine engineer holding an EOOW Unlimited license, now with hands-on experience in the yachting industry. Currently completing a temporary engineering role on board a yacht, I am eager to continue building my career in this dynamic and rewarding sector.
My background includes sea time on merchant vessels, where I gained practical experience in engine room operations, watchkeeping, planned maintenance, and safety management, all to high international standards. This commercial foundation has given me the discipline, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills essential for success on board. My recent position involved working within a two-person engineering team responsible for the full scope of the vessel’s technical operations. I was actively engaged in engine room maintenance, fault-finding, and planned servicing, while also contributing to general upkeep throughout the yacht. I also assisted the deck department with lines, fenders, and tender operations. This multifaceted role gave me valuable insight into the collaborative and adaptable nature of life on board a yacht, where versatility and attention to detail are essential.
My time on a yacht has confirmed my passion for the industry, and I am enthusiastic about continuing to grow in this field. I bring a team-oriented mindset, a proactive attitude, and a strong work ethic to every role. I’m comfortable in multicultural crew environments and pride myself on being approachable, reliable, and quick to learn.
I hold all the necessary certifications and am committed to contributing positively to any engineering team while upholding the high standards of the yachting industry.
