Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Novice Crew, Competent Crew, Racing crew or Mile building. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!
Experienced Racer Seeking Crew Positions - NYC Area
Location: Based in Brooklyn, sail out of Mamaroneck, NY
Experience: Lifelong sailor with extensive racing background, including:
420s and FJs (college racing experience)
Cape Cod Mercuries (competitive fleet racing)
Ideal 18s
Started racing Optis at age 5, sailed competitively through college
What I Bring:
- Strong boat handling and racing tactics from years of competitive sailing
- Experience in Long Island Sound conditions, Cape Cod, and New Orleans waters
- Reliable crew member who understands race protocol and boat systems
- Quick learner on new boat types
Availability: Weekends primarily, some weekday evening races possible
Seeking: Regular crew positions for:
- Wednesday night racing series
- Weekend regattas
- Distance races
- Open to both one-design and PHRF fleets
Travel: Happy to travel within the tri-state area for good racing opportunities
Serious about racing but also enjoy the camaraderie of a good crew.
