Looking for a Novice Crew, Friendship, Mile building or Voluntary work position
Hi! I’m Aleksandr, an experienced marine electromechanical engineer with over 10 years working on boats and yachts from 5 to 24 meters. I’m currently based in the Czech Republic and looking to join a yacht delivery or passage as a volunteer crew member to gain more sea experience and contribute to the team.
I hold:
• ISSA Inshore Skipper license
• Commercial Boat Operator License RU (up to 20m)
• Short Range Radio Certificate (VHF)
• Valid driver’s license
My professional background includes electrical installation, commissioning, and servicing of marine systems — from navigation electronics and battery banks to engines, heaters, water systems, and thrusters. I’ve worked both in shipyards and in private marine services, including hands-on boat driving experience (up to 12m, twin-engine).
I’m physically fit, calm under pressure, and always willing to help wherever needed — from watchkeeping and maintenance to cooking and cleaning. I learn quickly, work well in teams, and respect the routines and safety standards on board.
I’m open to short or long passages anywhere in Europe or internationally. My goal is to gain offshore sailing experience, meet like-minded people, and support the captain and crew with my skills and work ethic.
The level of English and Czech is at an elementary level in the learning stage.
Let’s connect if you’re looking for a motivated and technically skilled crew member!
