Looking for a Novice Crew or Friendship position to go from anywhere in America to Europe !
Hello skippers,
My name is Mathieu, I am a French student currently finishing my studies in the United States. Once my studies are done, I want to return home to France by sea, on a sailing boat, not by plane (too boring).
I don’t have RYA certifications, but I do hold a French boating license and I am very motivated to learn, help, and contribute to life on board. I am fit (student-athlete), used to teamwork, and reliable under pressure.
I am happy to assist with:
• Watchkeeping (day/night)
• Cooking, cleaning, and general maintenance
• Learning and helping with sailing tasks as needed
My goal is to live this unique adventure, learn more about sailing, and safely make the crossing back to Europe. I am not looking for a permanent liveaboard arrangement, only a one-time transatlantic passage (ideally Spring/Summer 2026).
I am happy to contribute to expenses, share duties, and be a positive, helpful crew member.
