Looking for a Competent Crew, Mile building, Deckhand or Delivery Crew position
Hi Skippers - I'm interested in finding a position as Competent / Delivery Crew for experience and Mile building, I have ASA qualifications:
ASA101 - Basic Keelboat
ASA103 - Coastal Cruising
ASA 104 - BareBoat Skipper (equiv to RYA Day Skipper)
I've studied ASA 105 - Advanced Coastal Navigation, completed the assessment exercises for fun, but haven't done the course.
In Nov 25 I completed a Rubicon 3 Bay of Biscay heavy weather master class. 2 weeks of ocean sailing in some challenging conditions. Passage planning, watch leader, deck, galley duties etc.
I am a systems safety engineer by trade so I enjoy figuring out problems. I'm also a rock climber, so I have plenty of experience operating in critical situations (and handy with knots).
I'm originally from the UK, then I lived in Australia for 25 years, now I live in Costa Rica and travel a lot.
I love sailing and learning, and working well with the skipper and crew. I'd love the opportunity to do more.
