Looking for a Delivery Crew, Deckhand or Competent Crew position
I’m an experienced sailor with a solid background in coastal cruising and skippering, looking to expand my skills through offshore delivery opportunities. Over the years I’ve logged somewhere around 10000 nm as skipper on holiday cruises and my own previous boats (an International Folkboat and a Fijian 43).
I hold the Austrian FB2 licence (equivalent to the RYA Coastal Skipper), as well as a Danish VHF/SRC certificate. My practical knowledge includes boat handling, navigation, trip planning, and crew management.
My goal is to gain more offshore experience, refine my seamanship in challenging conditions, and ultimately prepare for a circumnavigation in the coming years. I’m eager to learn from experienced captains and crews — everything from hands-on sailing to heavy weather tactics and passage planning.
Beyond sailing, I bring a background as a PhD in Molecular Biology, with a research focus on microalgae for sustainable food production. I’m also easy-going, adaptable, and contribute fully to life aboard: from sail handling to cooking, cleaning, and maintenance.
When it’s time to relax, I enjoy playing the guitar and keep morale high.
