Crew position/Volunteer for Antarctica trip from Ushuaia region
Location - Destination: Ushuaia ➡️ Antarctica
(flexible on finishing location after Antarctica, but start preferably in Argentina/Chile Patagonia region, as already in this location)
Availability: now until april 2026 (flexible if the trip will finish later)

About me:
Englishman who has been trotting the globe by hitchhiking, skiing and mountaineering, that is craving for a unique adventure.
I am looking to find my way to Antarctica, in the most explorative, hands-on and environmentally friendly way possible...by sail boat. It is an absolute dream of mine.
I have no previous practical sailing experience, but have worked on a fishing boat for several weeks, 20-100km offshore around majority of New Zealand south island, that required me to work long hours, in rough seas, both day and night. I also have been on short sailboat tours on the sea, several times, during my travels.
I'm familiar with the cold through doing several ski seasons and camping out in the snow/winter temps during that time. I have worked in various jobs that were in cold and wet environments.
I'm ready to take on any task required such as watches, cleaning, cooking, prep the boat etc and eager to acquire and apply the sailing knowledge. I would love the opportunity to share my life experiences (17+ years of travelling) and learn from fellow crew members.
