Looking for a Competent Crew, Voluntary Work positions in Southeast Asia!
Hi! My name is Miriam! I'm currently in Hong Kong but am happy to hop on board anywhere in Southeast Asia.
I've spent the past two years sailing yachts and dinghies in Scotland. I crewed 707 races there and managed to survive the Scottish weather without losing any fingers or toes (so count myself to be pretty hardy). I've also done some larger yacht cruising off the West Coast of Scotland, Greece, and Croatia in 30-40 fter monohulls. I still have room to grow as a sailor but am eager to gain more experience on the sea!
As well as a yacht racer, I've been a camp counselor at a kid's backpacking summer camp, worked quite a few hospitality jobs, and earned my Eagle Scout. I also have my Wilderness and Remote First Aid Certification from the American Red Cross. Overall, I love to meet new people, learn new things, and spend time outdoors.
I'm after a new adventure from Dec. 20, 2025 -> Jan 14, 2026 or any time frame within those dates. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and eager to contribute to the sail in any way I can, of course including help cooking, maintenance, cleaning, and sailing. I'm also willing to contribute funds within reason
