My wife and I are looking to get back into boating after selling our 36' trawler, five years ago. We took our boat from Victoria BC, Canada to the Sea of Cortez in Mexico and have also circumnavigated Vancouver Island.
My skillset includes mechanical/electrical/plumbing troubleshooting and repair, as well as navigation and watchkeeping, and most skills needed to safely operate a boat.
Though we both have significant boating experience, we both have very limited SAILING experience and are looking forward to learning the ropes, so to speak!
We're semi-retired and will be available beginning in February 2026, possibly for months at a time, depending on the needs of the captain/boat and the specific time of the year.
Outside of sailing, I acquired my private pilot's license in 2024. I'm also a golfer and runner. I don't drink or use drugs, though I have no problem with people drinking around me.
