Kiwi couple seeking to passage from Marquesas WESTWARD into Polynesia (Fiji / NZ) from April 14 2026
Hello! I am a 29 y/o New Zealander currently travelling in Brazil. I have been training as a wooden boatbuilder for the past 3 years and have lots of a sailing experience on a wide range of boats.
Myself and my partner, Mya, a Kiwi writer and academic, are crewing on a 46´ monohull crossing from Panama - Marquesas, leaving in early March 2026
We are seeking onward passage towards NZ, from the Marquesas, where we will be from the 14th of April, 2026
We are both friendly and spirited company, able to get along with many types of people, and are aware and ready for the challenges presented by a long ocean passage. I am confident and capable in all things boat operating, maintenance, repair, and navigation. Mya is quite new to sailing but competent at boat and sail handling. By the time we are in the Marquesas we will both have over 4000 Nm under our belts and be used to life at sea.
We are happy to share expenses or reach similar arrangements with any boat that may have us
Please get in touch if you are coming past the Marquesas, heading west, with space for more crew, after April 2026
Many thanks!
Simon
