Looking for a Novice Crew, Friendship or Competent Crew position
Hello! I'm new to sailing but not new to boating. I grew up in a very boaty environment and I live on a traditional Dutch sailing barge which I bought in the Netherlands and brought to the UK (with some help) in 2024. My dad lives on a boat too, and I worked for two years in boatyards- wooden boats one year, and steel boats the next, so I'm pretty competent moving boats (engine) and handy doing general boat maintainance (sanding, welding, painting).
At the moment my main focus is getting better at sailing as this is something I haven't done much of at all, mainly due to financial constraints. I'd love to take a few trips this summer (starting April, 2-4weeks) with someone more experienced who I can really learn from. Energetic and (hopefully) fast learner!
Happy to buddy up with another crew member too to find positions.
