Looking for a novice crew/volunteer position from Australia to New Zealand!
Hi everyone,
My name is Naïm and after 4 years of travelling across the wide deserts and lush rainforests of Australia I believe that is finally time for me to explore a completely new kind of biomes: the oceans and seas of our world.
I am a passionate adventurer who is always keen for new experiences and who finds wonders in every bits of our beautiful Earth and although my experience at sea is very limited I hope to find the trust and the friendships of people ready to teach me and share adventures with me.
To still talk about the little experience at sea that I have here is what I have done so far that might be of some interest:
-Sailing day trips on the coral sea off the coast of North Queensland Australia
-Solo sea kayaking from the mainland shore to close islands (2 Miles) in North Queensland Australia as well.
-Trip from Australia to Tasmania on the Spirit of Tasmania. I know it’s a big ship and very different from a sailing ship but it was very stormy then and a I didn’t feel sea sick unlike lots of people so I believe that might be relevant haha.
I also want to introduce myself a little bit more: so again, my name is Naïm, I am French-Arabic and turning 26 years old in March this year. I have a strong background in both environmental regeneration and education. I am passionate about sustainable food systems, tea, indigenous cultures, all sorts of sciences and all sorts of other stuff to be honest! I am very curious and genuinely always keen to learn. I am very social and easy to live with and always eager for new adventures!
My current travelling project is to find a boat to travel from Australia to New-Zealand around mid of August (but I am flexible) so I can work and travel there for a year or so before hopefully finding another sailing opportunity to go to South-East Asia, an area I haven’t been to yet and that I am very excited to discover.
