Will do any work in exchange for food and board
I want to find work on a sail boat. I have little to no hands-on experience with sailing. Looking for work from August 2027 on.
Looking for 5-12 months of work, unpaid in exchange for food and board.
I am eager and willing to learn and work in any part of the crew.
I'm good at and have experience with: cooking, cleaning, fishing, childcare, animal care, teamwork, dependably following orders, communication, language learning.
Ideally 6+ people on board and long travel legs.
My Reasons: I want to be a part of keeping the skills of sailing alive in the modern world. As a Girl Scout I've found a special interest in trades that blend traditions, cultures, and crafts. Furthermore, as a Girl Scout, I was raised on songs of ships and sailing. Being a useful part of a ship's crew has been a goal of mine for a long time.
