32 year old couple looking for June Mediterranean crew experience
We are a responsible, adaptable 32-year-old couple looking for crew opportunities in Europe during the second half of June for approximately two weeks. We are open-minded regarding destination, route, and type of opportunity, with our only real limitation being the amount of leave time available due to our careers.
While we do not yet have offshore passage experience, we are highly motivated to learn, work hard, and be a genuine asset onboard. We are happy to assist with watchstanding, cooking, cleaning, provisioning, line handling, general boat tasks, and whatever else is needed to support the skipper and crew. Our goal is not only to gain sailing experience, but also to better understand the realities of life onboard, boat ownership, and vessel maintenance as we hope to pursue this lifestyle ourselves in the future.
Eric is a military pilot with strong decision-making skills, discipline, and calmness under pressure. He has completed an ASA Basic Keelboat course and owns a Hobie Cat 14 that he sails in Texas. He is also an experienced small business owner in the hospitality industry.
Gabe is a military officer, a quick learner, and an excellent cook who would be a great addition to any galley. His sailing experience is limited but growing, and he has also sailed the Hobie Cat 14 in Texas.
We are easygoing, dependable, respectful, and excited for the opportunity to contribute while learning from experienced sailors.
