Hi, I'm Gio. Im an experienced Captain, marine biologist, filmmaker and watersports expert.
My yachting career began in January 2013 when i bought my own own 50ft monohull and spent four years leading underwater documentary filmmaking expeditions around the Caribbean, resulting in work published by National Geographic.
In 2017 i moved into my current job running a Privilege 65ft charter catamaran offering luxury sailing and scuba-diving experiences. The vessel sustained significant damage during Hurricane Irma later that year and i spent eighteen months in the yard managing an extensive repair and refit before successfully returning to business. I also project managed the repair of a Fontain Pajot 58ft Ipanema during this time.
Prior to yachting i spent 10 years teaching watersports and gained a 1st class degree in marine biology, specializing in underwater acoustics.
Currently i am looking for an adventure-seeking yacht owner to create a series of ambitious expeditions around the world, dedicated to in-water wildlife experiences, water sports and filmmaking.
