29 year old Aussie marine biologist/water enthusiast. I have spent the past 7 years working in marine research, eco-tourism and the maritime industry in Australia and afar.
I have over 2,500nm of sea-time.
My brother and I are looking to buy a 42+ plus sailing yacht to use on the Great Barrier Reef. We are wanting to buy one, if you have any information about one, please get in touch :)
My quals. include: Coxswain G1NC, STCW/95, WA Rec Skippers ticket, Marine Radio Licence, 1st Aid & PADI Dive Master.
My first yacht experience was as amateur crew hitch-sailing from Mexico to Dominican Republic via Cuba in 2016. From that I was hooked! I then went on to co-manage a privately owned 56ft Lagoon catamaran between America & Bahamas in 2017. Working as hostess & 1st mate, I did many o/night navigations between Bahamas & Florida. I also coordinated luxury charters for the owners and their friends.
In 2018 I lived in Coral Bay working on the boats as deck & guide taking tours with whale sharks, humpback whales & manta rays. In 2019-2020 I lived in the Maldives as a manta ray researcher and dive master.
Due to Covid, I'm back home on the surf coast in Victoria. I am looking for work as Delivery crew. Prepared for short notice anywhere in Aus!
