Captain and Engineer

I love traditional sailing vessels and good engineering. I have been working in the yachting industry for the past 16 years in various roles from Captain to ship-wright, engineer to general manager, with at times up to 20 staff and a wide range of yacht types and styles under my direct management.
I won the Azimut Yachts International technician of the year award in 2009. I have worked as a captain for Greenpeace on a fact-finding mission to the Fly River Delta in New Guinea. I have skippered the 75 foot 110-year-old schooner "Seraph" for the past year, including voyages to Myanmar and around the Andaman Sea of Thailand. I have completed many domestic and international delivery passages as captain on many motor and sailing yachts to 70 feet. I am a trade qualified electrical/mechanical engineer with 25 years experience before beginning my career in yachting.
