I’ve lived and worked in a coastal holiday town on the Cape Garden Route (Plettenberg Bay) most of my life.
In this time I built up many years of valuable experience in restaurants, hospitality & tourism.
Commencing my career at the “bottom” as a waitress and later a hostess at a silver service restaurant, I worked myself up to eventually owner managing an authentic Italian restaurant and guest house.
In order to refine my culinary skills, in 2017 I completed an internationally accredited City & Guilds Diploma in Food Preparation and Culinary Arts, which included over 700 hours of formal chef training at a Fairmont hotel.
Notable study achievements included obtaining a distinction pass in both Culinary Arts Principles (City & Guilds) and Food Preparation & Cooking (Capsicum Culinary Studio).
