I have an RYA Yachtmaster Ocean certificate - commercially endorsed.
I have logged just over 55,000 Nautical Miles.
Including 7 x Trans Atlantic crossings.
I am seeking a position on board a Sailing Yacht as Captain or Mate,
or as a sole Crew member (Captain, Mate, Cook) on a Private Yacht with family style Cruising,
or Maintaining and looking after a Yacht while the Owners are away or Project managing a refit.
I am a dynamic, hands-on person and take a lot of Pride in a well maintained and managed Yacht.
I am hardworking and always get things done to the best of my ability.
I have just completed the ARC Atlantic Rally 2017
as Captain / Instructor on a brand new Lagoon 420.
The Owners have motorboat experience but no Sailing experience.
My job was to give them the knowledge to competently sail their own boat and get them safely to the Caribbean.
Then they will cruise the Caribbean on their own.
End September the Owners and I took delivery of their brand new Lagoon 42-foot Catamaran built in Les Sables D’Olonne, France.
After Sea Trials, we cruised to Gran Canaria for the start of the ARC Atlantic Rally on 19 November 2017.
The crossing from Gran Canaria to St Lucia in the Caribbean took us 22 days sailing most of the time. We declared 52 motoring hours.
We came 12th in a class of 28 Catamarans and we were the 2nd smallest yacht in the Class.
