I have owned 3 yachts (cruising cats), sailed many miles. Sailed Australian coast and Indian Ocean. Sailed the UK east and south coast. taken a yacht through the French canals. Owned a live aboard French canal barge . Cruised around the world (on a cruise liner). Visited most countries in the world.
I am a young old person with a lot of worldly experience, sailing experience, and sense of adventure.
My wife no longer wants to do sailing/ boating, so sold my boat. So helping others sail, full filling their dreams seems ideal to me.
Happy to crew for man, or lady skipper in need of a man on board.
I like cruising , not racing, not in a rush to get from A to B.
I have money, don't need to work for an income. I dont have to be anywhere so no time restrictions or work comitments . Happy to contribute to costs.
Non smoker, non drugs Enjoy a beer or wine, but never drunk, and can live with out it.
Healthy, I have not been to a doctor in years , never been ill in over 30 years
I am Friendly with SoH, I am honest, reliable, happy, seldom grumpy. Enjoy life. Enjoy company of younger people.
Speak a bit of French together with English, and rubbish.
I am very practical (was a carpenter / builder) can fix most things on a boat. I built a catarmeran. Not allergic to work. Run a business for 40 years employing many people.
Can cook, but I am no chef , I have not starved at sea yet.
I don't do diving, surfing or splashing around in the water, but happy to watch and help .
