RYA Yachtmaster Offshore with over 10,000 NM -- seeking delivery-type trips with experienced captains
Aloha from Maui! I have my Yachtmaster Offshore, STCW Basic Training and other training, and over 10,000 NM of open ocean sailing, and fully vaccinated. I’m interested in sailing deliveries as first mate, watch captain or crew, where I can sail with experienced captains.
• Raced and cruised extensively during high school and college out of Annapolis.
• Navigated 27' sailboat from Annapolis to Azores via Bermuda at age of 18 using celestial navigation.
• Switched to sailboarding, and other sports, and raised a family. Family grown up. Now racing and cruising again when possible.
• Since getting back into keel boats, I've also been taking numerous classes; I particularly enjoy weather-routing and navigation
• In very good health. Positive attitude. Like working as a team. Willing to do my fair share of watches, cooking, navigation and boat maintenance. Have all necessary foul weather and safety gear for blue water trips.
• Have my own foul weather gear, PFD, personal AIS, IridiumGO & PredictWind, Navionics & C-Map
