USCG Licensed Captain, experienced in traditional sail seeking vessel
I have been sailing traditionally rigged vessels for the last 9 years, having held a USCG 100 Ton Inland Master's license (Auxiliary Sail Endorsement) for the past 5
Among the roles I have filled on various ships are: Deckhand, Engineer, Bosun, and Chief Mate. I have also spend extensive time in leadership roles during maintenance periods aboard wooden sailing vessels.
I also am a Watch Officer and Instructor for the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School in Maine.
Most recently I held the position of Fleet Captain at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, before COVID-19 forced layoffs, and am currently working as a charter captain on a 41' gaff rigged catboat.
Important to me aboard ship is open and easy communication, and an effort to create an intentionally positive environment.
