open minded starting with expeditions

The free soul is rare, but you know it when you see it -
basically because you feel good, very good, when you are near with them.

Currently, I look back on a career that includes 17 years of optics, 13 years of physiotherapy, and 7 years as a lifeguard/facility technician in 8 different outdoor, wellness, and water parks.

I have approximately 8 to 9 years of experience in climbing, both on rock and in the climbing hall (very well-suited for possible work on the masthead/ "Crow's Nest").
I am also a
climbing supervisor for the German Alpine Club (DAV) since 2020
Ski instructor since 2007
Swimming instructor since 2006
Aqua fitness trainer since 2000

When there's something to be done on board, I don't make a fool of myself, especially since I've undergone extensive training and activities in both fine and gross motor skills. However, I also know that a certain operational blindness, as I call it, is to be expected on board. That means sometimes you're standing right there but don't see what needs to be done or given, so you should be understanding about that.

I learned to cook when I was 14/15, and with a few exceptions when one of my friends could cook, I have continuously cooked for myself or other people to this day. So, my repertoire ranges from fries to currywurst : ) But to be serious, I'm not a chef, but I'm good at cooking, but I don't want to list it as a skill because I don't want to be the only one doing it.

I grew up on the North Sea coast, 20 km away, but until I moved to southern Germany in 2006, because I wanted to be close to the mountains, I wasn't interested in water sports like sailing, rowing, or surfing, except for the German Lifesaving Association (DLRG) from the age of 15. I volunteered as a lifeguard on the North Sea and Weser River for about seven years started in 1984
and in 2006, I became a lifeguard/facility technician.
This desire to sail, or rather, to be able to sail, was born when I was thinking about what I wanted to do when I retired.

Since 2006, I have lived and worked in Freiburg im Breisgau, Zurich, Davos, Interlaken, and Flims. I am currently in the Allgäu region.
Previously, I lived and worked in the Oldenburg and Bremen regions.
