Crew, Deckhand, Skipper, Cook
Hi. I am Olga. I have chef diploma, Day scipper sertificate and I like to feel wind in my hands.
I can do multifunctional job in a boat.
As a cook, I can cook a omelet in the morning, a squid with green peas and cherry tomatoes (as the captain taught me in Genoa), chicken with rice and vegetables (how they cook in Ukraine), famous Greek dish moussaka.
Like a crew I can look to sails, to be at the wheel steering, wash the deck, stand a solo night watch, to catch mooring buoy and more.
About me: I live in Ukraine. For many years I have enjoyed sailing: yachts, sport boats and catamarans. Windsurfing is my favorite sport. I had dream to go sailing in Mediterranean. I checked people need skippers and cooks. I thought who needed a woman skipper and completed a cooking school. But I never became a real chef.
In September 2023 I received The RYA Day Skipper certificate. I know a lot about sails and winds. I have known on the courses how go sailing with tide and new skill "having to".
I have experience sailing in the Red Sea (Egypt), Black Sea (Ukraine), Azov (Ukraine), Baltic (Poland), Ionian and Aegean Seas (Greece), and the Mediterranean (Corsica, Sicily, Italy). I have sailed the Adriatic (from Pula to Corfu) and across (from Otranto to Budva).
I like mountain ski and enjoy stand-up paddleboarding (if no wind). I also like crocheting and knitting, so I don't become bored onboard! I know greetings in Greek and Italian and learn greetings from which ever country I am in. I'm a good photographer and can process images in Photoshop. My photographs were placed at the exhibition in Limassol, Cyprus.
I will continue to study. Now I need practice.
If you need a reliable person in board, I can be such the crew. Sometimes at Christmas I make Christmas salads.
Excellent sailor
She sailed with me in April 2023. A very competent sailor who can be trusted to hand steer for hours if necessary, volunteer to climb the mast, handle lines and participate in voyage planning. She has professional windsurfing sensitivity to wind. And having a trained chef onboard is a wonderful plus!
