Tuamotus & Society Islands
Hi - I’m looking for a crew opportunity from Fakarava (or elsewhere in the Tuamotus), hoping to sail around the Tuamotus and/or to Tahiti. I’m expecting to arrive at Fakarava approx May 15.
Now at Nuku Hiva, so far I’ve sailed from Panama to French Polynesia via Galapagos with friends on their Beneteau 50. So although I’m a beginner, I’ve learned the basics, know I’m comfortable at sea, and I understand how to live closely with others for long periods.
I’m now sailing around the Marquesas and on to Fakarava, crewing for an Australian couple on their cat.
I’m a sporty, healthy and chilled out person, and am working towards my goal of sailing my own yacht someday. I’m a relatively quiet person, but am friendly and social. I rarely drink, and I don’t smoke.
At home in Australia I work as a Sports Physiotherapist, and have a long list of outdoor hobbies. Relevant favourites are:
Surfing
Kite surfing
Diving
Mountain biking
Hiking
I’m open to different itineraries and arrangements as I slowly make my way back home to Australia. It’s more important to me that I am on the same page as my captain and crew - the rest will take care of itself!
