Hardworking, intelligent and handy with no limit on time or destination
Hello! Here's the short and sweet: I've caught the sailing bug. My first off shore experience on a sailboat left me eager to explore more of the lifestyle and mode of travel. Most of all, I want to learn and work to become a capable, helpful crew member. I have references to attest to my common sense, responsible lifestyle, and hardworking habits. I can scrape the hull(s) and scrub the deck or run errands and wrangle the kids. My forte is seeing what needs done, where I fit in, and helping make the machine run.
A little bit about me if you're still here: I'm an artist, traveller, and avid outdoorswoman. After several years of living and playing in the mountains out of a van, I'm ready to explore the coasts, islands, and ocean. I got my first taste this Spring and am ready to fully immerse myself into the freedom of sailing with no restrictions on time or destination. I like to live simply from the possessions I can carry on my back and celebrate the beautiful people and places around me. When November 2019 is here, I'm ready to go where the wind takes me. I have a very diverse work history from manual labor to nonprofit projects to working with families and children. Ideally, I'd love to connect with a group of folks, a couple, or a family that could use a helping hand and are passionate about what they do.
The mechanics of sailing and the logistics that go into safely executing it fascinate me. This in addition to the sense of adventure and required hard work are things that I've always loved about mountain climbing, but now I'm ready to adventure on the ocean. I love learning, being helpful, and pulling my weight. The energy of the ocean and the people the spend their time on it is where I'd like to spend the next chapter of my life. With no particular end date or destination in mind.
