Looking for regular crew (and up for crewing too).
Hey there. As the title says, I'm looking for regular crew (and also up for crewing on other boats too). If you have an interest to sail in the Arctic at some point in the future, please drop me a line. I have a 28ft aluminium sloop. I do not have a lot of experience (aside from a channel crossing, Gothenburg->Peterhead, and RYA CC/DST/DSP). I'm in the process of fitting out my boat for short UK-based based trips for the time being (moored in north Kent).
Within the next couple of years I would love to head further north (Faroes/Greenland/Russia/Canada/Iceland/Scandinavia), so if this interests you drop me a line. From a learning-opportunity standpoint – and for safety/practicality – I'm looking for someone who has considerably more mileage and years of experience than myself (not hard!). Also ideal is someone who's relatively local and able to invest some time building miles together. If you're keen, but don't totally fit these specifications, I'd still like to hear from you!
You don't need to be a reincarnation of Tilman (although, that'd be cool), just good humoured in all weather, safety conscious, experienced/capable, calm like a coconut, and someone who has a genuine hankering to see and sail in the Arctic :-) Bonus points if 'NWP' and 'NSR/NEP' mean anything to you (sailing related).
