Looking for work and miles
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm looking forward to meeting some new, like-minded people!
I have completed a 900nm delivery from La Rochelle (France) to Gibraltar in a Bali 4.1 (cat.) Catamaran in May 2019 and a 2,750nm trip from Croatia to the Canary Islands, Spain in FP 41ft catamaran from early July to the end of August 2019.
My duties consisted of preparing the yacht for sail, provisioning, watch leader, watch keeping, cleaning, cooking, maintenance.
I have no food restrictions, a non-smoker with no drama.
I hold an RYA Day Skipper (Tidal) qualification (2009). I have about 4,400nms with over 50 nights at sea.
I am currently working my way thru my Coastal/Offshore/Ocean Skipper qualifications and looking for the additional sailing experience, not just motoring.
I am also actively seeking additional coastal/offshore/ocean sailing experience.
My wife and I are planning to purchase a 45 to a 56ft cat. within the next 5 years and I wish to take as many, extended trips on various cats as possible.
We will operate the cat as our 2nd/3rd home (Hamburg/St Anton, Austria), placing a Capt./crew on it while we are away.
I am an officer in the Australian Army (Captain) and have both military (combat) and civilian (wilderness) first aid training.
My military skills include field operations, training, administration, command and control, operations planning, logistics, combat first aid, and evacuations, operating solo and in a team enviroment.
I can offer demonstrated:
• strong interpersonal skills
• perfect knowledge of English
• flexibility, coach-ability and a wish to grow, learn and improve
• ability to deal with a crisis in an efficient & effective manner
• a positive attitude, along with organization and service spirit
• good knowledge of engines, and systems
• remaining calm and professional at all times
• experience as a professional service provider
I look forward to discussing this opportunity with you in the near future.
