Looking for opportunities to crew on any vessels and build sea miles

Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people. I have experience sailing traditional Essex oyster smacks, small yachts/catamarans and dinghy sailing. I have also owned a 19foot small cruiser for the last 4 years. I’ve just completed a crossing from Sardinia to Gibraltar. My aim is too build sea miles, gain experience on larger vessels and grow my skills as a sailor.

Competent seaman

During a 900 mile voyage from Sardinia to Gibraltar Oscar repeatedly proved an asset. We had some strong winds, light air no wind in short many different conditions. He was always cheerful and a boosted morale. Oscar has a seaman's eye for many situations and used his experience in racing to help keep the boat moving. We made several stops in the Balearic Islands and in Spain. Oscar watched and adapted to the way things were done on board so anchoring and docking was fault free.. I would gladly take him on as crew again and would fully recommend him as crew on other vessels. Joe Bayne Jubilee
