Icelander interested in joining a sailing adventure in the summer of 2022 or later
I'm interested in joining a sailing adventure in the summer of 2022 or later.
Some info about me:
- I´m an outgoing type with a passion for outdoors activities, do a lot of kayaking, climbing, skiing and mountaineering. Have basic sailing experience.
- I have taken a practical sailing course and a theoretical certification (It´s the Icelandic certificate, equivalent to the ICC). Would love to dive into the sailing lifestyle and experience the life aboard!
- I am an engineer (risk, safety and disaster management).
- I am a volunteer at the Icelandic Search and Rescue team. Have solid knowledge of first aid and good survival skills, also know how to be part of a team.
What I am expecting from a crewing position is to meet cool people, share experiences, have an adventure, get instruction and practice in sailing and experience the life onboard. I am willing to work hard and contribute my part. I am flexible in what part of the world and what kind of boat I would join - the people matter more :)
